On March 14, the Sub-center of South-Central Minzu University of the Hubei Provincial Research Center for Theoretical Socialism with Chinese Characteristics held a special symposium titled “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Supporting Hubei’s Development as a Strategic Fulcrum”, together with its 2025 Annual Meeting. Ma Yutang, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, Luo Yi from the Theory Division of the Publicity Department of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, and over 30 experts, scholars, teachers and student representatives attended the meeting.

Professors Xiao Shujian, Zhang Yi, Qu Xiaolin and Yan Zhanding delivered speeches on topics including the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses, General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on Party affairs, the integration of artificial intelligence with people’s livelihood security, and the development of university think tanks. The meeting deployed ten core tasks for 2026. In his concluding remarks, Ma Yutang emphasized that efforts should be made to promote the high-quality development of the sub-center and serve Hubei’s development as a strategic fulcrum by adhering to the principles of “integration, specialization and platformization”.
